John Rexer

John Rexer is a Director and Vice President for AB CarVal, where he is responsible for residential whole loan acquisitions, pricing, portfolio management, investor relationships and portfolio analytics. Rexer is focused on asset-based finance, including residential mortgage investments and capital-market activities. Prior to joining AB CarVal in 2025, he was a vice president and portfolio manager with Corebridge Financial (previously AIG). Rexer also held previous roles at MetLife, Fannie Mae, Lone Star Funds, IndyMac Bank and Aegis Mortgage. He holds a BBA in finance from Texas Tech University. Location: Minneapolis
